It’s that time of the year again…the Golden Globes winners have been revealed and we’re all look forward to the Oscars. But aside from those cinema and TV celebs, let’s not forget the shiny stars of Higher Education marketing!
There’s an incredible amount of talent and creativity in the HE sector. And what better way to celebrate it than with winning an award…or few! Apart from gaining institutional prestige and recognition for excellent work, an award can be a fantastic confidence boost which creates internal pride and brings together team members.
These are just some of the reasons that Revolution Viewing is proud to be headline sponsors of the sector-leading HEIST Awards for the third consecutive year, supporting the great work of our industry friends at Havas People. We love playing our part in helping to promote, recognise and contribute to excellence in the HE sector.
Just last month, we were very excited to host a series of workshops on “How to Win a Heist Award” together with Havas People and Educate. The sessions took place in London and Manchester with the aims of sharing advice and insights into what makes an excellent, winning entry regardless of the award.
Attendees were treated to honest and informative presentations from judges, Revolution Viewing’s James Greenwood and Educate’s Jo Redfern, and past winners who shared hints and tips as well as explaining how the awards have positively affected them and their institutions. Huge thanks to Simon Pride (Arts University Bournemouth), Charlotte Renwick (Leeds Beckett University), Karen Smalley (University of Reading), Emma Bridge (University of Bradford) and Anna Keogh (Leeds College of Music) for being our case study speakers.
And thank you also to Simon and Charlie at Havas for involving us in making this event happen…it is always a pleasure!
For those of you who couldn’t attend a session, we’ve produced a short video of the Manchester workshop (Amy-Jay, you might spot somebody familiar!) which we hope gives you the inspiration to strive for excellence and to submit that award-winning entry.
We look forward to seeing you all at the 2016 HEIST Awards in Manchester on Thursday 7th July. Good luck!
